"Once You've wrestled, everything else in life is easy" - Dan Gable

To the world's oldest and toughest sport. Almost every person alive today or that every lived has participated in wrestling. Mabybe only informally and maybe with just a parent, sibling or friend, but wrestling is truly a universal athletic experience.

Established in 2004. The Meathead Wrestling Club is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering, promoting and encouraging the sport of amateur wrestling to all ages and at every level. We are committed to providing the finest wrestling instruction and building character, health and well-being, sportsmanship, self-confidence, self-esteem, and positive attitudes about dedication, persistence, and hard work among the youth of the California Central Coast.

Twenty local wrestlers showcased their skills at the Club's annual Match Night fundraiser, this past June 6th at The Graduate in San Luis Obispo while a couple of hundred enthusiastic fans cheered them on.   The event raised several thousand dollars for local youth wrestling.  Thank you to all the competitors and everyone who attended or purchased tickets!  A HUGE thank you to Meathead Movers who matched all other money raised for the event and provided it's employees to help set up and breakdown.  Also a big thank you to Ernie Ball, Inc. for donating an electic guitar valued at over $2,000 that was raffled.  Many other business and individuals sponsored the event.   Please take a minute to view our Sponsor page and please support those business who support youth wrestling on the Central Coast.
